About Us

The Norwich and District Star Wars Collectors Club was formed in 1999.

It is a club for all Star Wars fans of whatever age and caters for both serious collectors and families who just enjoy the Star Wars universe. In addition the club has a costume gang that attend various fetes, carnivals and promotional events. Most of the costumes are home made but are a close representation of those worn in the films. Anyone can join the gang.

The club meets in Norwich normally on the last Friday of the month (except December) at the Magdalen Gate First School in Bull Close Road, Norwich from 7pm. The meetings are informal where club members can swap, sell or buy collectables. We also run a club shop selling figures, ships etc’ at greatly reduced prices. Children can practise their Jedi lightsaber skills under supervision with a cup being awarded to the best pupil on the night. From time to time we also have competitions, quizzes and auctions.

We have a very good relationship with many of the actors from the Star Wars films and know them on a first name basis. They are always pleased to meet with us.

Away from the club nights we also organise trips to the many Star Wars or other collectibles events such as Memorabilia at the NEC Birmingham, Jedicon in Colchester and Memorabilia in Milton Keynes. In 2005 a group from our club attended Celebration III in Indianapolis, USA and assisted with the running of the 4 day event.

Club membership is only £5.00 for the first family member and £1 each for each additional family member. Membership lasts until 2077. In addition to a nice welcome pack your membership will also give you up to 10% discount on goods purchased from Kerrisons Toys who are supporters of the Club. They have shops in Norwich and Great Yarmouth. Some other toy shops in Norwich also participate in this scheme. Presentation of your membership card will be required to get the discount.

Club nights are open to members and non members alike although you must be a member to have a free stall if you wish to sell items. Entry to club nights is £1 per person with entry free to children under 10 if they are accompanied by an adult.
