New Channel 4 Series in 2008

The Club has been contacted by Channel 4 seeking young people interested in Sci-Fi who would like to take part in a new television series.  They should be aged between 16 and 22. The message is below. Unfortunately I was not able to attach the flyer but if you would like one please contact Will Thorne on the contacts given in the message or contact the Club website at info@norwichstarwarsclub.co.uk and I will forward the whole message including the flyer to you:-

Hello, I do hope you don't mind me contacting you but I'm hoping that you can help.

I'm working on a brand new TV programme for Channel 4 and we are looking for young people aged 16-22 (as of June 2008) who have a real passion for Sci-Fi. Once found, the idea is that we bring together this group over the summer, whisk them away to a luxury beachfront apartment and get them to compete against each other in order to win a grand final prize. I guess in ways if you think Shipwrecked meets The Apprentice you begin to get the idea. At its’ core both entertaining and stimulating, this should be a pretty exciting series and therefore promises to give a group of lucky young people the most amazing of summers.

I was hoping that you could help us in our search by spreading word of this opportunity amongst your younger members. It would be fantastic if our flyer could be emailed onto all your members; go into any social newsletters and if possible onto any relevant notice boards too. Please find the flyer at the end of this email and attached for your convenience. Do let me know if you think it would be useful to have some hard copies of our leaflets as this can be easily arranged.

It would be absolutely brilliant if you could help us out with this and I would be keen to hear if you have any other suggestions on how best to disseminate word of our series amongst young people. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Fingers crossed we get some interested candidates come through.

Many thanks,

William
